KBTU’s Faculty of Information Technology has started a new undergraduate program in Health Informatics ("Medical Informatics"). The admission to the new Program is open now. Interested candidates can submit their documents till 25 August 2019.

Specialized UNT subjects in the new program are chemistry and biology.

Graduates of the new Program with IP, VTiPO specialization in the field of "Medical Informatics" will be able to work in hospitals, provide technical support to staff, monitor the safety of hospitals and help develop rules and procedures. They will also be able to work in analytical positions in government agencies and pharmaceutical companies.

Graduates in this field may be interested in companies developing software and equipment for medical use, as well as in insurance companies.

 

Students will receive the following skills and expertise in the field of "Medical Informatics":

• Data analysis to facilitate decision-making and action in medical and pharmaceutical institutions

• Development of data-based solutions to improve patient health

• Collaboration with other departments in the health system

• Development and implementation of tools for measuring data, patient care efficiency and processes

• Facilitation of communication, regulatory and IT requirements between departments
