The Kazakh-British Technical University offers some of the best post-graduate education programs in the country. In addition to the existing eight graduate programs and six doctoral programs in 2019, the university has launched several new master's programs:
- “Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies”,

- “Geology and Exploration of Mineral Deposits”.
And for doctoral studies - “Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Management” and DBA.
The main priority in the development of these programs was the demand for the labor market.
By introducing new specialties, KBTU continues to develop existing ones. These are masters programs "Oil and Gas Engineering", "Computer Engineering and Software", "Data Analysis", "Cybersecurity", "Bioinformatics", "Artificial Intelligence", "Mathematical and Computer Modeling", "Chemical Technology of Organic Substances", "Petrochemistry "," Financial Analysis "," Project and Supply Management "and MBA / EMBA, as well as the doctoral program" Oil and Gas Business "," Mathematical and computer modeling "," Chemical technology of organic substances "," Chemical technology neo Organic Materials ”,“ Petrochemistry ”,“ Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies ”,“ Metallurgy ”,“ Materials Science and Technology of New Materials ”,“ Project Management ”and“ Management ”.
Practically all state and doctoral specialties are allocated state educational grants. It is not necessary to come to Almaty and submit documents to the KBTU. Just indicate KBTU in the competition for the state grant and manage to apply for admission before August 25.

Postgraduate education programs of KBTU are accredited by Kazakhstani and international agencies and ratings, such as ACBSP, CFA, ACCA, ABET and others. The faculty includes the best domestic and foreign professional and practitioners in business and science.
The university actively cooperates with Kazakhstani and foreign companies and universities. Undergraduates and doctoral students have the opportunity to receive additional education in the programs of academic mobility and double diploma in universities and abroad - UGNTU (Russia), Epitech (France), University of Dundee (United Kingdom), Geneva Business School (Switzerland), Kozminski University ( Poland), University of Mississippi (USA), Shanghai Polytechnic University (China), etc. In the 2018–19 academic year, 50 KBTU students took advantage of these programs in the 2019–20th academic year 90 students are participating in these programs.
Undergraduates and doctoral candidates at KBTU undergo practical training and internships at leading local and foreign companies, such as NC KazMunaiGas, TCO, NCOC, Eni, Schlumberger, Fluor and many others.
