“You can determine the worth of a nation by the number of books it consumes…”, wrote the French writer Laboulaye. The Scientific Library of KBTU supports these words and on October 24 of this year held an unprecedented book distribution campaign “Gift a Book, Gift a Future,” aimed at increasing interest in books and promoting reading among youth. As part of the campaign, discarded books from the library's collection were distributed for free to our readers. The campaign featured books on oil and gas engineering, computer science, mathematics, economics and management, various dictionaries and fiction. Many books found new owners, and we hope that they will be useful to our readers. An art therapy zone was also organized for students, where they could color pictures and make crafts in their free time.

The KBTU management also attended the campaign, supporting the initiative and communicating with the participants. This event was a bright event, promoting the development of reading culture and interaction within our university.
