Alan Abzalkhanuly, a student from the KBTU School of Information Technology and Engineering, and a representative of the KBTU team BrevnoKz, reached the finals of the Google Build with AI: Sustainable Growth competition, being selected among the top 21 projects from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Central Asian countries. The team will present their project before a jury comprising representatives from ministries and tech parks of these countries. The BrevnoKz project focuses on analyzing urban infrastructure and green areas using data and artificial intelligence. They are creating a city map that displays green spaces and, through API, analyze air pollution levels. Based on this data, AI suggests optimal locations for tree planting to improve air circulation and reduce smog in the city.

The BrevnoKz team received high scores based on technical criteria. Congratulations to KBTU students Alan Abzalkhanuly (School of Information Technology and Engineering), Asel Krymov (Business School), Zhambyl Altair (School of Information Technology and Engineering), and Ayauym Tursyn on their outstanding achievement and advancement to the international competition finals!
