On September 7, 2013, during his visit to Astana, President of China Xi Jinping first introduced the "Belt and Road" initiative. On September 6, 2024, in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana, where this program was originally initiated, the first international presentation of the book "Secrets of Black Gold" in the Kazakh language took place.
The event was organized by the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and gathered representatives of the diplomatic corps and government officials of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Among the distinguished guests was Zhang Xiao, the Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan. Representing KBTU, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Assel Kenesovna Jumaseitova, delivered a speech.
"The book 'Secrets of Black Gold' is suitable for readers of all ages, and its publication in Kazakh is a significant event in strengthening cultural exchange and ties between Kazakhstan and China. I believe that the Kazakh edition of 'Secrets of Black Gold' will play an important role in further developing and strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries," noted Vice-Minister Yerbol Alikulov.
