We are pleased to announce that the professor from the University of Cambridge, chief researcher at the Cavendish Laboratory, Siddharth Shanker Saxena, has become an Honorary
Professor at the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU). Professor Siddharth S. Saxena is a world-class scientist with extensive scientific experience in the field of experimental physics: the theory of strongly correlated electrons, superconductivity and magnetism. He is a pioneer in the study of new materials (exotic superconductors) and the discoverer of a new form of superconductivity and ferromagnetism (Nature 2000, https://www.nature.com/articles/35020500). In 2023, headed by Professor Siddharth S. Saxena, the Laboratory of Novel Superconducting Materials was opened at KBTU with the Cavendish Laboratory.
We congratulate Professor Siddharth S. Saxena on this high recognition and thank him for his scientific contribution to the development of cooperation between KBTU and the Cavendish Laboratory. We are confident that further joint research will bring even more successes and achievements, and we are proud that he is part of our university.
