A meeting between the Kazakh-British Technical University management, the Consul General of Afghanistan and a Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Afghanistan took place in Almaty on November 12 on the issues of studies of the Afghan students and further expanding of personnel training.
The guests from Afghanistan, led by the Consul General in Almaty, Mr. Vais Payab and the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Afghanistan Talgat Kaliyev, discussed with the KBTU management, headed by Rector Kenzhebek Ibrashev, a number of issues on teaching Afghan students at the university and prospects for further cooperation, in particular, training of personnel for Afghanistan in demanded specialties, as well as advanced training of Afghan teachers, organization of internships on the basis of KBTU and trainings on leadership and entrepreneurship skills. As part of the meeting, an excursion to KBTU was organized for the guests with strict observance of sanitary standards.
