A monitoring of the Kazakh-British Technical University on the presence of corruption risks and compliance with the standards of the “League of academic honesty” took place on February 12.
A group consisting of 11 experts of the league, representing various Kazakhstan universities conducted a detailed assessment of KBTU activities on 105 various criteria, including the poll of the academic teaching staff and students, and reviewed the University’s infrastructure. Based on the results of the assessment, relevant recommendations will be developed.
Let’s recall that at the beginning of February the general meeting of the league, the new chairman of which was elected KBTU Rector Kenzhebek Ibrashev, and Chairman of the League Council was assigned KazGUU Provost Sergey Pen, was held.
The Independent Association of HEI’s “League of academic honesty” was created in 2018 with the aim of improving quality of higher education in Kazakhstan. Members of the league became 12 universities; associated members were assigned the Agency of RoK on counteraction to corruption and RPE “Atameken”. All of them took obligations on keeping the values and principles of the league.
