Step 1. Submission of electronic applications in Study Space https://kbtu.studyspace.kz/login#sign-in

You should fill all necessary points there. All necessary documents are uploaded to the system, and the application form is filled in there.

For Bachelor: passport, scanned copy of educational documents, certificate of language proficiency, English Test,  Motivational letter(600 words), Interview and other documents

For Masters: passport, scanned copy of educational documents, certificate of language proficiency, motivational letter(600 words), 2 recommendation letters (at least one academic) and other documents

For PhD: passport, scanned copy of educational documents, certificate of language proficiency, English Test, Motivational letter(600 words), 2 recommendation letters (at least one academic), Research Proposal (2500 words) and other documents

Step 2. After receiving the full package of documents, interview will be scheduled with candidates who fulfill the requirements.

Step 3.  Results of interview will be communicated within 5 days.

Visa Support

A student from abroad has the right to enter the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan only after receiving an appropriate invitation from the University from the Department for Internationalization and Strategic Development (hereinafter – DISD, office 426). To do this, the student fills out an invitation form for the purpose of obtaining a primary study visa (this visa does not give the work permit), sends it to the DISD no later than 45 days before the intended entry into the country.

A foreign student on the day of entry into the country (or the next day, but not later than September 01) provides the following documents to the DISD for registration of the passport in the Migration Police Department of Almaty and registering it:

1. the original passport (or residence permit in the Republic of Kazakhstan-if available);

2. three 3x4 size photos;

3. AIDS certificate (valid for 1 month);

4. certificate of residence in KBTU dorm or copies of documents of the apartment owner, in case of residence in the apartment (identity card/passport, lease agreement, notarized residence permit);

5. A certificate from the World Association of Kazakhs (for oralmans).

A foreign student must take timely care of:

- on the extension of the validity period of their national passport;

- on the restoration of the passport in case of its loss;

- on the registration of a residence permit of the Republic of Kazakhstan (if necessary);

- on registration of citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan (if necessary);

- about the notification of DISD in case of a change of address or contact information.

Students must notify DISD three days before entering the RK / leaving the RK / when changing their place of residence.

Upon arrival in Kazakhstan, every foreign citizen, including holders of a residence permit, must have a negative PCR test with them. It must be issued no later than 72 hours before the border crossing. This requirement applies to all types of border crossing. If arriving with an expired PCR test, the foreigner will be deported.

Foreign students with a residence permit in the Republic of Kazakhstan must pass a temporary registration, if the actual address of residence does not correspond to the permanent address of registration.

The student has full responsibility, including material (payment of penalties), in case of violation of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and / or these Rules.

All other costs associated with stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan are covered by students. 

Attention!

During winter holidays, in case of a change of place of residence (with an official check out from the current place of residence in Almaty), when changing the address of residence in Almaty (with an official check out from the current place of residence in Almaty), departure to another city (with an official check out from the current place of residence in the city of Almaty), the receiving party must notify the migration office (of that city) within 3 working days from the date of arrival.  On arrival to Almaty, student must immediately notify KBTU DISD on the day of arrival.

 

Students must notify DISD at least three days before entering the RK/ leaving the RK / when changing their place of residence in the RK.

letter of recommendation in Kazakh or Russian or English from the educational organization in which the applicant studied, or from the employer.

medical certificate for studying abroad, as well as a medical certificate about the absence of a human immunodeficiency virus (HIV infection) and AIDS diseases issued by an official health authority of the candidate’s country of residence.

invitation letter from Kazakhstan university (if available).

 

 

PhD degree:
