KBTU is the leading technical university in Kazakhstan and positions itself as a world-class university. The university has international accreditations (ABET, ACBSP) and holds leading positions among Kazakhstani universities in the ratings (QS Ranking). KBTU develops science in key sectors of the economy, supports entrepreneurial communities and stimulates the development of startups, creates conditions for the transfer of knowledge from industry to the educational sphere and from education and science to business and industry. University programs are taught exclusively in the English language.
The KBTU building is located on Tole bi street, 59, on the Astana square in Almaty. The entrance to the building is carried out both from the main entrance from the side of Tole bi street.

Entry rules to Kazakhstan
Citizens of Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan can enter Kazakhstan only by flights (in the absence of special permission from the interdepartmental commission on Covid-19 chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
All arrivals are required to submit a PCR certificate with a negative result for Covid-19, made no earlier than 72 hours before crossing the border.
Citizens of Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan who have completed a full course of vaccination against Covid-19 can cross the border without taking a PCR test based on passports of vaccination against Covid-19.
To cross the border citizens of Moldova need special permission of the interdepartmental commission on Covid-19 chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, therefore, participation in the Forum is possible only online.

Sanitary standards in the building of KBTU
At KBTU, sanitary standards are observed to counteract the spread of Covid-19. At the entrance, the body temperature of the visitors is measured by the security service, and a disinfection tunnel is installed. Visitors are required to wear masks, maintain a distance of 2 meters, and treat their hands with antiseptics installed throughout the building.
Almaty is a cultural, historical and financial center of the country. The building of KBTU itself is located in the historical center of the city, on Astana square. There is also Panfilov Street, popularly called Novy Arbat, where you can enjoy the work of artists, street musicians and many restaurants. Not far from the university there is a Park of 28 Panfilov heroes. And of course, Almaty has mountains. Within the city, there is a park at the peak of Kok-Tobe Mountain, where the cable car operates and offers beautiful views of the city. Also, you can set aside time and go to the countryside, to the Medeo mountain skating rink or the Shymbulak ski resort.
