The aim of the educational program is to train masters in the oil and gas field, capable of:

  • to apply modern theories and research methods for sustainable development of the oil and gas industry, enhanced oil recovery, improvement of oil and gas technologies;
  • to design and develop new innovative technological processes and equipment in the field of oil and gas;
  • to improve the methods of operation and maintenance technology of oil and gas equipment;
  • to use modern technologies for drilling, production, development, operation;
  • to manage, develop and implement processes in oil and gas production;
  • demonstrate leadership and persuasion skills, communication.

The consumers of the educational program are industrial enterprises of the oil and gas industry (production and management activities); higher educational institutions of the republic and foreign countries (scientific and pedagogical activity); state organizations in the field of science and education (expert and management activities); research institutes on the problems of subsoil use (scientific research); design organizations (design, expert and management activities).

Employment Prospects

 

Graduates of KBTU can work in national and international oil and gas companies in Kazakhstan and abroad. These companies annually recruit master students for internships with potential employment. Every year, a job fair is held at KBTU, where companies come to recruit graduates. Also, graduates of this program may enroll in various graduate programs in Kazakhstan and abroad.
