May 9 is a joyful, important and at the same time touching date. On this day, they honor the memory of those who did not return from the battlefields and thank the veterans who managed to survive and reach the end. The events of the war years affected many families living in our republic. About 1 million 200 thousand people left Kazakhstan for the front. Hundreds of thousands of our compatriots were awarded orders and medals for bravery and military merits, 615 people were recognized as Heroes of the Soviet Union.
This is Memorial Day for the fallen. This is a homage to the living heroes. This is the rejoicing of the liberated people. This is an eternal reminder to the young, at what price a Great Victory was achieved.
