This year marks the 90th anniversary of the birth of Sherkhan Murtaza, writer, public figure, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, national writer of Kazakhstan. The writer was born on September 28, 1932, in the village of Zhambyl region. In one of the interviews, the writer recalled that he was born in difficult times and spent his childhood during the cold, bloody war, and repression. But, even though today he has met in his life, he was steadfast and outstanding, the prudent and moral life of a writer should be an example for young people. The books of writers are always in demand, the population among young people and the elderly.

On the 90th anniversary of the writer, the KBTU Scientific Library organized a book exhibition in the reading room and presented it to the audience with a video presentation.
