The first Constitution of independent Kazakhstan was adopted on January 28, 1993 at the IX session of the Supreme Council of Kazakhstan of the XII convocation. The Constitution included short-term prospects. On August 30, 1995, a draft of a new Constitution was adopted at a national referendum. Every year in the republic this day is celebrated as one of the main state holidays. Over the years of independence, the Constitution of Kazakhstan has been repeatedly supplemented and amended in 1998, 2007, 2011 and 2017. First of all, the Constitution remains the expression of the rights and freedoms of every person, the embodiment of the ideology of the whole state. Every citizen of our society is obliged to observe their rights, duties and rules and respect the laws. In honor of the holiday, the Scientific Library organized an exhibition.
