On 27th of November during the meeting of the winners of the award of Elbasy Fund and the talented youth with the First President of RoK Nursultan Nazarbayev, the award ceremony of “El maqtanyshy” took place. One of the award winners became Yernur Tolep – graduate of the Scientific-Educational Centre “Chemical Engineering” (SEC CE) of KBTU.

The award “El maqtanyshy”, established within the frames of the initiative “El umiti”, is bestowed upon the winners of the most prestigious international academic olympics among school students on mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and geography. For the golden medal at the international competition within the frames of the award a certificate for 2 million Tenge is issued to the winner and the coach, for the “silver” 1 million Tenge is given to each and the “bronze” brings 500 thousand Tenge to each.

Yernur Tolep became a winner as a head and a coach of the national Kazakhstan team in chemistry that got one silver and three bronze medals at the international academic olypics in Paris.

Earlier, a 2-year Master student of SEC CE of KBTU – Tolganay Zharkynbek became a holder of the fellowship of the Fund of the First President of RoK - Elbasy.

This year, among more than 350 applications for gaining student fellowships of the Fund of the First President of RoK, the contest committee defined 80 winners, who would get the scholarships during the academic year on monthly basis.

One of the contest winners became Tolganay Zharkynbek, supporting her achievements by means of excellent studies, active participation in social and scientific-research activities of SEC CE, certificates of merits, diplomas and participation in conferences and symposiums.

The aim of the contest of the Fund of the First President of RoK – Elbasy, starting from 2010, is encouraging academic, scientific and creative activities of intramural students of higher and vocational (art and culture) educational institutions.
