We are happy to present a SUR PLACE program of Konrad Adenauer fund for your attention.
With the help of this program the Konrad Adenauer fund provides support to the gifted young people who strive not only to reveal their academic talent capacity but who are ready to dedicate their knowledge, power and initiative to participate in the political and social life of our country.
The SUR PLACE grant is represented by monthly voluntary monthly payments that are granted for the period of 5 months.
Who can participate?
The grant-holders can be citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who study intramurally at HEI’s of Kazakhstan and who passed the competition selection. The grants awarding to the students of the senior year is possible in the form of exemption. For the moment of application submission, the participant must not be older than 30 years old. The preference during the selection is granted to the students participating in the social and political life of their country, who have active life position, who are broad-minded and are goal-oriented. Knowledge of a foreign language is desirable, but not mandatory.
Competitive selection
Future grant-holders must pass a two-stage competitive selection: submission of the list of documents indicated below and an interview.
Where and how can one participate?
In order to participate in the competitive selection, it is necessary to provide the following documents:
- A filled-in application form of the candidate with an actual photo – the application form can be downloaded from the website www.kas.de/web/kasachstan
- 1 photo 3*4
- Resume (in German or English)
- Motivation letter with the abstract on the study goals and plans for application of the obtained knowledge in the future professional sphere (max. 2 pages) in German or English.
- Copies of the documents on education with the attachments (for Master’s and PHD programs) with translation into German or English, verified by the university)
- Recommendation letters from two HEI’s teachers in German or English with the indication of contact phone and/ or email address for teachers where they give assessment of the grant candidate’s participation in academic, political and social activities.
- Reference from the place of studies (with translation into German or English)
