Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Education and Science has reduced the comprehensive testing pass rate for admission to Master’s programs on state grants.

According to the proposed changes to the rules for awarding a grant, future undergraduates should be recruited based on the results of comprehensive testing (CT):

For Master’s programs with Kazakh or Russian language of instruction, 75 points will be enough for the participation in the competition, while 50 points will be required for the participation in the competition for Master’s programs with English language instruction.

In the case of identical indicators of CT results, applicants who have a high score on the results of the test on the profile of a group of educational programs will be given preference, then the results of the test for determining readiness for learning are taken into account, then the results of the test in a foreign language and then the GPA (Grade Point Average) in the application to the diploma of the previous level of education.

KBTU continues to recruit applicants to participate in the competition for state educational grants.

This year, 2 185 grants in all areas were allotted to the KBTU graduate programs.

For the doctoral programs of KBTU 375 grants were allocated in all areas.
