This year, KBTU has received 700 targeted grants for undergraduate studies.

The target grant is the same state grant with a scholarship that is allocated by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan to certain universities.

How to get a targeted grant?

Candidates will need to submit their original documents (UNT certificate and certificate with the application) to the university where they want to enroll.

In KBTU, you can not specify MITI and Astana IT University. Similarly, at MITI and Astana IT University a candidate can not specify KBTU. Therefore, a candidate has to decide in advance which university she/he wants to go.

Other than the above universities, candidates can specify the rest of the universities in Kazakhstan.

What is the difference of the target grant?

The target grant is given to a specific university and it can’t be used for another university. After receiving the grant a candidate can’t transfer it to another university.

Target grants are distributed by the Ministry of Science and Education.
