Almaty, Kazakhstan: The second Annual Meeting of the Kazakh Physical Society (KPS) concluded at the Central Asia’s top science and technical university, the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU) in Almaty.
Dozens of renowned nuclear and space scientists and physicists from 21 universities, scientific institutes and government departments of Kazakhstan, Russia, South Korea, India and Mexico attended the event and presented more than 69 latest research papers. They spoke on a variety of topics and discussed pressing questions and challenges in various areas of physical science.
Dr. Alexandr Vurim of the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented his paper on: “Experimental Researches to Ensure Nuclear Power Safety at the Base of NNC, the Republic of Kazakhstan”. He explained the measures that the Kazakhstani government has taken to ensure safety at the nuclear power station to the highest levels and according to the international standards. He explained cooperation between Kazakhstan, Japan, EU and the IAEA in enhancing safety.
Professor Dr. Bum-Hoon Lee, the President of Korean Physical Society and a professor at the Sogang University, South Korea presented his paper on: “Black Holes in the diatonic Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet theory”.
Professor Dr. Hernando Quevedo of National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mexico City presented a paper on "Quasi-homogeneous black hole thermodynamics”.
Dr. Sergey Maiorov of Prokhorov General Physic Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Moscow, Russia, presented his paper “On the ion drift in cold gas”.
Nurzhan Beisenkhanov of the Kazakh-British Technical University presented his paper: “Physical Properties of Expitaxial Silicon Carbide Films, Grown by Atomic Substitution on the High-resistance (111) Oriented Silicon”.
Vladimir Messerle of Combustion Problems Institute of Kazakhstan spoke on: “Plasma Application for Uranium-Containing Solid Fuels Processing”.
Chingiz Akniyazov of Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute Almaty presented his paper on: “Space debris cloud evolution; De-Orbiting small space debris”.
Anton Desyatnikov of Nazarbayev University Nur-Sultan City, Kazakhstan, presented a paper on "Optical Vortex Rings in nonlinear Media". Alexander Shepetov of P.N. Lebedev Physical Institute (LPI), Tien-Shan Mountain Cosmic Ray Station, Moscow, Russia, presented a paper on: "Simultaneous Observation of Lightening Emission in Different Wave Ranges of the Electromagnetic Spectrum in Tien Shan Mountains". Zhandos Moldabekov of the Institute for Experimental and Theoretical Physics, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan, presented paper on "Dynamical Structure Factor of Strongly Coupled Ions in Warm Dense Matter". Didar Batryshev of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan, presented her paper on: "Investigation of Carbon Nanowalls Synthesis by Pecvd method". Vladimir Kossov and Olga Fedoreenko of Abai National Pedagogical University, Almaty, Kazakhstan, presented paper on: "Special Regimes under Diffusion in Gaseous Mixtures". Ruslan Irkimbekov of National Nuclear Center of Kazakhstan presented his work on "IVG, 1M Research Reactor Conversion". Nurlan Tokmoldin of Intitute of Physics and Technology, Satbayev University, Alamty, Kazakhstan presented a paper on: "Heterojunction Silicon Solar Cells".
Dozens of other papers and presentations were part of the very successful event where interesting discussions took place about innovations and discoveries. The participants lauded KBTU for organizing and hosting such an informative and authentic scientific event. KBTU Vice Rector for Research and Science and the head of KPS Almaty, Professor Maratbek Gabdullin thanked all the participants for their contributions and attending the Second Annual Meeting of the KPS.
