The UK Alumni Meeting in Kazakhstan was held on 14th of November 2024 at the Kazakh-British Technical University. The event was visited by HM Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Kathy Leach, representatives of the British Council, the British Chamber of Commerce, partner companies, and alumni from leading UK universities who live and work in Kazakhstan.
 
HM Ambassador Kathy Leach emphasized the important role of UK university graduates in advancing Kazakhstan’s growth and fostering stronger connections between the UK and Kazakhstan. She also commended KBTU for its valuable partnerships with British educational and business organizations, underscoring the university’s central role in promoting international cooperation.
 
In his opening remarks, KBTU Rector Maratbek Gabdullin acknowledged the significant contributions of UK university graduates to Kazakhstan’s development, long-standing partnership of KBTU with UK higher education, highlighting graduates’ professional achievements and influential roles in various sectors, which have strengthened the ties between the two countries.
 
The UK Alumni Meeting provided a platform for networking, exchanging ideas, and exploring opportunities for further collaboration, reinforcing international partnerships and maintaining strong connections between alumni of the UK universities.
