On October 10th, as part of the Eurasian Forum on Science Commercialization held at Turan University, the ESG Lab of KBTU's Project Management Office co-organized a session titled "ESG Transformation: Synergy of Science and Business."
The session presented ESG-related projects to invited enterprises and partners, including the Kazakhstan Chemical Industry Association, KazAzot JSC, Kazakhmys Corporation LLP, KazZinc LLP, Engineering Center LLP, Baiterek Venture Fund, Valuemont Central Asia, Caravan Resources Group, KISI under the President of Kazakhstan, Skolkovo Foundation, and environmental organizations.
KBTU presented projects from the D.V. Sokolsky Institute of Fuel, Catalysis, and Electrochemistry, covering the following areas:
development and production of catalytic converters for gas waste purification;
catalytic flameless combustion to CO2 for heat generation and plant fertilization;
development of hydrogen-containing fuels from natural and renewable gas raw materials using cluster catalysts;
new technologies for manufacturing solar cells for renewable energy sources.
Additionally, the activities and development plans of KBTU's ESG Lab within the Project Management Office were presented.
