On October 8, 2024, an important monitoring meeting on the UNDP project was held at KBTU. UNDP Kazakhstan representatives highly appreciated the achievements of the project at its current stage. During the meeting, KBTU Rector M.T. Gabdullin emphasized the significance of the project and expressed support for initiatives aimed at achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The parties discussed prospects for new projects related to the acceleration of startups within the framework of the SDGs, as well as opportunities for collaboration on supporting women and organizing joint activities for additional courses.
Since 2019, KBTU has been cooperating with UNDP on a program to educate Afghan women, aimed at expanding their economic rights and opportunities. The program is implemented with the support of the European Union and covers Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Since the start of the project, more than 40 women have successfully completed training programs such as TVET Finance, TVET Business Management, VET, MBA Finance, and TVET Mining.
Today, Afghan female students are receiving quality education in the fields of finance and marketing. The SDG Projects Department of the Corporate Education Academy has organized international courses in cooperation with the German company Janser Expert, providing graduates with the opportunity to gain employment in German companies. Currently, courses on "Green Economy," "Leadership and Business Communication," and "Principles of Marketing and Communication" are being actively conducted, with the issuance of international certificates.
