On September 30, an event dedicated to Oil and Gas Industry Workers' Day was held at KBTU. Rector (Chairman of the Board) Gabdullin Maratbek Tulebergenovich delivered a welcome speech, congratulating the faculty and students on the occasion and emphasizing the importance of the oil and gas industry for Kazakhstan.
Dean of the School of Energy and Oil & Gas Industry, Ismailov Abdulkhat Abdukarimovich, noted that this academic year the university admitted a record number of students to the "Oil and Gas Engineering" educational program. He also highlighted that the School of Energy and Oil & Gas Industry organizes two major international conferences annually and hosts summer schools at KBTU.
The KBTU faculty, active students, and students with high GPA scores were awarded, marking an important part of the event that highlighted the contribution of faculty and students to the university's development and their academic achievements.
Industry representatives, such as SLB, Welbore Integrity Solutions, and ROSEN Group, were also present at the event. They congratulated the students and shared their experiences of successful career growth. Additionally, graduates of the "Oil and Gas Engineering" program — a graduate from 2017 and a master's graduate from 2022 — expressed their gratitude for the invitation and wished the students further success.
