We are proud to announce that two teams from Alma Valley reached the finals: “Dronette” and “Aqua Save.” This year, the “Dronette” team secured a prize-winning position with their innovative project that utilizes drones for delivering medicines and providing emergency assistance to remote regions of Kazakhstan.

The team members — Butakova Diana, Mlikova Kristina, and Saqush Kamila — demonstrated a high level of engineering thinking and social responsibility, both crucial in today’s world.

As a reward, the winners received a grant of 2,350,000 tenge to conduct research in the fields of energy, ecology, and emission reduction, making a significant contribution to their projects and the idea of sustainable development.

We also want to acknowledge our second team, Aqua Save, which also reached the finals. Their project represents a comprehensive system consisting of a floating drone and shore cameras. The drone, equipped with neural networks and 3D cameras, scans water bodies, detects and efficiently removes waste, making it an essential tool for environmental protection.

The goal of the “Student Energy Challenge” competition is to stimulate innovation among young specialists and support new ideas that contribute to sustainable development.

KBTU has been actively participating in this competition, organized by the “KAZENERGY” Association with the support of Shell Kazakhstan, since 2017. Each year, our teams demonstrate outstanding results, confirming the high level of preparation and creativity of KBTU students!
