On August 19, 2024, the official opening of the International Summer School took place, organized by the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU), and the KBTU Academy of Corporate Education.
At the opening of the Summer School, welcoming speeches were given by the Rector of KBTU, M.T. Gabdullin, the Head of the Agro-Bioresources and Ecology Science Center of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zh.S. Alamanova, and the Head of the ESG Laboratory at KBTU, B.R. Syrlibayeva.
The International Summer School will serve as a platform for integrating science and education, fostering the strengthening of scientific connections, and creating new opportunities for collaboration. The main themes of the Summer School are sustainable development, ecology, and artificial intelligence—areas of paramount importance for the future of our planet.
The Kazakh-British Technical University is committed to integrating sustainable development principles into all areas of its activities. This includes educational programs, scientific research, resource management, and social responsibility. The Rector of KBTU, Maratbek Gabdullin, emphasized that only through a comprehensive approach can we prepare a new generation of leaders capable of effectively responding to global challenges and making a meaningful contribution to societal development.
