The Belt&Road Petroleum Engineering Institute facilitated participation of KBTU undergraduate students in the Summer School organized by the China Petroleum University in Beijing (CUPB) - KBTU partner university within the “One Belt - One Road” Initiative, the International Association of Energy Universities (World Energy Universities Network) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization University.
As noted by the Organizers, unlike previous years, the Summer School 2024 was for the first time implemented in an expanded format, inviting students from partner universities of four countries, namely, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Bashkortostan, and Ecuador to implement educational and cultural inter-university cooperation within the existing agreements.
The Institute of International Education of China Petroleum University of Beijing hospitably opened its doors to the student delegations of Kazakh-British Technical University, Baku Higher Oil School, National University of Petroleum Technology of Ufa and Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
The Summer School participants enjoyed an opportunity to get acquainted with the faculties, laboratories and museum of CUPB - one of the highly rated technical universities in Beijing and the PRC; they were immersed in the language and cultural environment of the country through an intensive study of Chinese language basics. The students were familiarised with traditional art forms and visited such iconic cultural World Heritage Sites as the Temple of Heaven, the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and others.
At the end of the program, the students passed the Chinese language exam and received certificates of participation in the Summer School 2024.
