The Head of State met with young scientists in the building of the National Academy of Sciences
In his speech, the President noted the measures taken to develop science and higher education in the country:
•The number of grants for the training of qualified personnel has increased one and a half times in recent years
•There are branches of 12 prestigious universities in Kazakhstan, and several more will open soon
•More and more universities are engaged in scientific research. Technology parks and engineering centers are opening
•500 scientists annually undergo internships abroad
•The Ministry allocates thousands of grants to young scientists
In conclusion, the President said that in the next two years the number of grants for research by young scientists will be increased once again. It is planned to allocate 18 billion tenge from the budget for these purposes.
At the end of the event, Qasym-Jomart Toqayev stressed that "social support for young scientists is the task of the state" and solemnly presented housing certificates to 10 young scientists.
