KBTU students took part in the ICPC World Finals. The competition was held from April 14 to 19 in Luxor, Egypt. The Olympiad is one of the most prestigious IT competitions.

The coach of the team, Alimzhan Amanov, is a teacher/coordinator of the School of Information Technology and Engineering.

A total of 130 teams from all over the world took part in this Olympiad. KBTU became the best among Kazakhstani universities.

It should also be noted that for the first time in history, Batr Sardarbekov, a participant from Kazakhstan, received a gold medal as part of the Harbour Space University - Barcelona Campus.
