Kozhabekov Serik Samsalykovich, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Professor of KBTU JSC with 42 years of scientific and pedagogical experience. Since 2007, he has been working as a professor at KBTU, head of the Research and Innovation Laboratory of Petrochemistry and colloidal Chemistry. Over the years of his work at KBTU, he has gained unquestionable authority and respect among colleagues and students with his professionalism, intelligence and ability to work in a team.

S.S. Kozhabekov is the author of 4 educational manuals on oil and oil refining, 8 patents and more than 130 scientific papers, 92 of which have been published in foreign and national scientific journals, including journals reviewed in Scopus and Web of Science with a high impact factor. The results of scientific research were reported at International and National conferences. He is the head of research projects carried out within the framework of grant and program-targeted funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

S.S. Kozhabekov has developed courses of lectures on elective disciplines “Rheology of petroleum dispersed systems”, “Technology of processing of hydrocarbon raw materials”, taught for bachelor's and master's degrees in the specialty “Chemical technology of organic substances”. The professor also manages the research work of students, undergraduates and PhD doctoral students.

In 2023, the diploma work of the student under the leadership of Kozhabekov S. S. became the winner of the Republican competition “competition of research works of students”.

For long-term and conscientious work in the field of scientific and pedagogical activity, he has the encouragement and diplomas of KBTU JSC, the certificate of honor "Kazenergy", the Order "Assyl Enbek" for a huge contribution to the development of the oilfield services industry of Kazakhstan from the Union of Oilfield Service Companies of Kazakhstan.
