On December 7, KBTU representatives paid a working visit to the TCO headquarters.
The university delegation included: Maratbek Gabdullin – Rector (Chairman of the Board); Haidar Tassibekov – General Director of JSC "Institute of Chemical Sciences named after A.B. Bekturov"; Arlan Abilmagzhanov – First Deputy General Director (PhD) of JSC "Institute of Fuel, Catalysis and Electrochemistry named after D.V.Sokolsky"; Didar Batryshev – Vice Rector for Science and Technology innovations; Arman Ibrayev – Managing Director for Additional Education; Abdulakhat Ismailov – Dean of the School of Energy and Oil and Gas Industry; Akhmetov Iskander is the coordinator of the Data Science Laboratory, School of Information Technology and Engineering.
The purpose of the visit was to get to know and strengthen ties between KBTU delegates and TCO employees, share knowledge, and discuss potential areas for further cooperation. During the visit, the delegates met with KBTU graduates working in various positions in TCO departments. It should be noted that there are currently more than 400 KBTU graduates working at TCO.
KBTU and TCO have jointly implemented many successful projects, including the Kazakhstan Maritime Academy, which is the only educational institution in Kazakhstan that meets all the criteria of the International Maritime Organization STCW (STCW).
Marzhan Bisimbayeva, RMG Coordinator for Technical support and reservoir Management, developed the program and materials, and also held the event. Asem Bibolova, a geologist, and Zere Ermekbayeva, a staff petroleum engineer, presented to the KBTU delegates the activities and working methods of RMG TCO, as well as improved their understanding of TCO's operations for oil and gas production and processing.
TCO management was represented by Konilkosh Suesinov, Deputy General Director of TCO, Jonathan Finstuen, Manager of RMG, and Aliya Dzhaksieva, Digital Technology Manager.
After the meeting with RMG, KBTU representatives met with the Digital Technology Department of TCO to discuss further cooperation. The Digital Technology Department received full information about KBTU programs available to TCO employees.
Tahir Aisin represented the HR department and answered questions related to the TCO internship program for students.
Such sessions are a useful practice where industry representatives can meet with the scientific community and discuss potential areas for cooperation and improvement.
