On December 1, the President of China University of Petroleum-Beijing Wu Xiaoling (Wu Xaolin), together with representatives of the University of China, visited the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU) for the first time during their visit to Kazakhstan. The meeting was held under the auspices of 30 years of cooperation between CNPC and Kazakhstan. The heads of the two universities discussed new prospects for cooperation in the field of science and education.
After the official meeting, representatives of China University of Petroleum-Beijing were given a tour of the KBTU building. The guests visited laboratories where researchers and students conduct research in various fields, the historical Independence Hall and the One Belt, One Way Petroleum Engineering Institute. KBTU management also presented the Chinese delegation with the country's unique projects - the Kazakhstan Maritime Academy and the International School of Economics - for which the university is actively developing international cooperation.
