Kazakh-British cooperation in higher education discussed at KBTU!

Today, the Minister of State for Business and Trade of Great Britain Nusrat Ghani, as part of her official visit to Kazakhstan, visited the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU).

The meeting was held jointly with the British Ambassador to Kazakhstan Kathy Leach, representatives of the Embassy and the leadership of KBTU. They discussed new prospects for cooperation in the field of education, including double degree programs with the University of London (UoL) and the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE).

Graduates of double degree programs shared their successful experience, emphasizing the importance of this format for further professional growth. The students expressed their desire to see the expansion of the double degree program.

To date, KBTU has programs with the University of London, recognized as the first in Central Asia. The collaboration began in 2005. As of 2023, more than 400 graduates have successfully completed the program.

Prospects for cooperation with Cambridge University, certification issues and partnership with Intertek Group plc. were also discussed.

After the meeting, the guests visited the laboratories of alternative energy and nanotechnology, learned about the international educational programs of KBTU.
