On November 10, graduates of the International School of Economics (ISE) of KBTU were awarded diplomas in honor of receiving a degree from the University of London as part of the double degree program under the academic direction of the London School of Economics (LSE). One of the honorary guests of the ceremony was James Abdey, Associate Professor, Deputy Academic Director of EMFSS programs at the University of London at LSE.
During the visit, James Abdey met with students of the International School of Economics, gave a guest lecture on the topic “Data and Storytelling” and answered questions from students.
James Abdey then met with applicants, providing details of LSE programs and the academic guidance provided by the London School of Economics. He also met the teaching staff of KBTU.
The end of the visit was the solemn ceremony of presenting diplomas to graduates of the International School of Economics (ISE) of KBTU in honor of receiving a degree from the University of London as part of the double degree program under the academic leadership of the London School of Economics (LSE). James Abdey congratulated the graduates and wished them good luck in the future.
60 graduates of the International School of Economics got degree of the University of London (UoL), including 37 in Economics and Finance, 18 in Data Science and Business Analytics and 5 in Mathematics and Economics. 10 graduates received diplomas with honors - First Class Honors.
The past year has been outstanding for KBTU International School of Economics. ISE students have achieved an impressive 91% pass rate in their University of London (UoL) exams! 8 students were awarded 10 EMFSS awards, topping the list of University of London (UoL) students worldwide. 5 students became the best (Top Scorer) in Mathematics 1,2 and Algebra, scoring 96, 99 and 100 points out of 100. 3 students were awarded Letters of Commendation for their outstanding achievements. 2 students were awarded the Academic Achievement Award for demonstrating some of the best results in their programs. In addition, the top 5 students of each year were awarded “Top Student” certificates for outstanding academic performance and a well-deserved place on the Honor Board.
