As part of the cooperation between KBTU and Marine Bolashak, first-year cadets of the Kazakhstan Maritime Academy underwent STCW Basic Safety Training at the specialized lyceum «Arystan», which provided them with new skills and qualifications for practicing on the high seas. Completing this training is essential for those aspiring to work in the commercial sector of the maritime industry.

STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping) are training and certification standards established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The STCW Basic Safety Training qualification consists of five modules and takes five days to complete. First-year cadets of the Kazakhstan Maritime Academy have successfully mastered training in survival in extreme conditions, fire fighting, first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, personal safety and social responsibility, and have also received information about the importance of ensuring safety.

Passing this training is a requirement for anyone who aspires to work in the maritime industry. Now, the students of the Kazakhstan Maritime Academy have the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully meet the challenges and demands of this exciting industry.

The good news is that the cooperation between KBTU and Marine Bolashak allows cadets to gain the practical skills necessary for a successful career in the maritime industry. This experience will help them become well-rounded professionals and discover new opportunities in the global maritime community.

Congratulations to the first-year cadets of the Kazakhstan Maritime Academy, and we wish them success in their future maritime careers!
