Congratulations to the School of Information Technology and Engineering (SITE) and the School of Chemical Engineering (SCE) at KBTU on the victory of their students in the Republican annual competition of student research work in natural, technical, social, humanitarian, and economic sciences at the universities across the Republic of Kazakhstan, known as the SRWS competition!

 

The SRWS competition is held annually by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MSHE RK) in collaboration with higher educational institutions. This year, the SRWS competition in the specialties of "Chemical Technology of Organic Substances" and "Automation and Control" took place at NJSC "Kyzylorda University named after Korkyt Ata" and NJSC "Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev". We are pleased to announce that the following KBTU students have been named winners based on the commission's decisions:

 

  • Galymzhan Aknur Zeyinkyzy, a 2nd-year master's student in the specialty of "Petrochemistry" at SCE KBTU, received the Diploma of the I degree of the MSHE RK. The subject of her scientific work was "Synthesis of depressant additives by copolymerization of methyl acrylates with vinyl monomers”. Her supervisor was PhD in Chemistry, professor of SCE KBTU, Serik Samsalykovich Kozhabekov.
  • Khasen Meyirman Sagynbayuly and Kalmakhan Bauyrzhan Yersultanuly, 4th-year students in the specialty of "Automation and Control" at SITE KBTU, received the Diploma of the III degree of the MSHE RK. The subject of their scientific work was "Development of an intelligent automated control system for the oil distillation process at the Karachaganak petroleum operating enterprise". Their supervisor was PhD, professor of SITE KBTU, Zarina Ildusovna Samigulina.

 

Additionally, Andrey Samoilov and Talgat Sayazhan, 2nd-year undergraduates in the specialty of "Management" at BS KBTU, participated in the competition.
