USAID educational materials on renewable energy, low-carbon development, and ESG practices will now be available at KBTU. Today, the university hosted a seminar on the USAID project «Power Central Asia» for teachers and management of technical Schools at KBTU to discuss the further use of the developed materials in the educational process.

The USAID «Power Central Asia» Project has been supporting educational institutions and providing capacity building for stakeholders and professionals from Kazakhstan and Central Asia since 2020. As part of this support, the PCA project has developed a modern course on renewable energy sources (RES), an Investor's Guide to implementing RES projects, and conducted a series of workshops on low-carbon development, new large-scale generation, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices to prepare highly qualified specialists.

The materials presented at the meeting, which will be available in the educational programs for bachelor's and master's students, touch upon the most pressing issues of energy both in Kazakhstan and around the world. For this reason, access to USAID information will allow students to delve deeper into energy transition topics and use them in their research.
