The online course “LEVEL UP: Introduction to video games and gamification” will start very soon, which GameLab KBTU teachers developed as part of the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) program in Kazakhstan to support girls in STEAM (science, tech, engineering, art, math).

The course is open to everyone and is designed specifically to introduce you to professions in game development and gamification. Don't be afraid if you don't know much about games or don't know how to code! In our course, we want to show that video games are a multifaceted industry in which there is a place for people with different interests and talents, regardless of gender, age and place of residence.
So, what topics are waiting for us? An overview of the video game industry, game development processes and roles, game design fundamentals, serious games and gamification, game engines, augmented and virtual reality tools, Midjourney and Chat GPT for video game creation.
The course starts on May 20, you can take it online at your own pace, and keep in touch with teachers and other participants through the stream chat and weekly webinars.
Do not forget that according to the results of the first stream, the best 50 participants will go to a three-day hackathon at KBTU to gamify the UniSat course.
