On Monday, January 30, we held an offline opening meeting of Global Game Jam 2023, where we met and discussed the theme of the year.

We listened to the recommendations from experienced participants and organizers of the Jam under the gentle crunch of pizza, without which our partners from Good Morning Games do not come to parties. Everyone found allies to participate in the Jam.

In addition to the main nominations of the GGJ International Committee, our Almaty partners and friends presented 3 local nominations.

GameLab KBTU is the only venue from Almaty that gathered the most participants in Kazakhstan. The initially set limit was increased to 55 and was filled in a matter of hours.

The participants will develop their games for a week. On Sunday the participants will upload their games to the Global Game Jam server.

On February 6, we will meet again to announce the results and award the winners of local nominations.
