On November 3, 2022, a KBTU delegation led by Rector Gabdullin Maratbek Tulepbergenovich visited the Helmholtz Center for Artificial Intelligence in Munich (Federal Republic of Germany).

The Center is part of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers, holds leading positions in the Federal Republic of Germany and the EU in the field of research in the field of energy, IT, ecology, nuclear physics. The union includes about 19 natural science, technical and biomedical research centers, which employ more than 39 thousand employees (including 14.7 thousand scientists).

The Helmholtz Center for Artificial Intelligence has created and is expanding a professional network of Research institutes and Development Centers, in particular in the field of applied Artificial Intelligence and unites scientists from all centers in Germany, as well as Europe, Asia, the USA, Canada and other countries, promotes interdisciplinary and innovative research in these areas.

KBTU and the Helmholtz Center agreed to develop cooperation on projects and conduct joint activities within the framework of international grant funding. As part of the activities of KBTU Project Groups, the Helmholtz Center agreed to conduct free project consulting, to accept doctoral students, teaching staff, undergraduates to conduct projects in the field of IT, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Energy, Climate Change. The Center also offered to join the professional network of scientists in the Artificial Intelligence division to carry out design work at KBTU.
