The Forum takes place from November 14 to 16 at the site of the Kazakh-British Technical University.

This year's event brought together politicians, representatives of energy from different countries, the financial sector, science and academia from near and far abroad.    ⠀

The key topics of the three-day dialogue include:

• Designing sustainable regional energy systems through the interaction of low-carbon and zero technologies;

• Innovation and modernization of energy systems in Central Asia through private and public financing;

• Exploring opportunities and threats related to the interconnection of energy, water and land in Central Asia;

• Strengthening regional cooperation and building interregional technical and institutional capacity.

Maratbek Gabdullin, Rector of the Kazakh-British Technical University, also addressed the guests of the Forum: "Taking into account the peculiarities of Central Asia, where traditional energy sources have been used for many years, an important dialogue on energy transfer can only be built with the involvement of all stakeholders. As we know, "according to the investor group Climate Action 100+, more than two-thirds of the world's 166 largest sources of greenhouse gas emissions have promised to reach zero by 2050 or earlier" (The Economist).  The creation of a sustainable energy system is not limited to investments, or the lack of necessary infrastructure. The issue of necessary changes is, first of all, a question of changing and transforming the consciousness of people, us energy users, as well as environmental issues and a reasonable attitude to any energy sources and understanding climate issues and our direct influence on it."
