KBTU hosted the international team chess tournament of schoolchildren "KBTU: First Acquisition 2022". 20 teams came to the start, including two from Kyrgyzstan.
One of the guest teams, which represented the Physics and Mathematics School-Lyceum No. 61 of Bishkek, managed to climb the podium, taking third place. The second were representatives of the Shymkent Gymnasium School No. 65, and chess players from the Kazakh-Russian Gymnasium No. 38 of Almaty celebrated the victory.
Orash Shonazarov, Ilyas Sabitov and Alua Nurmanova played for the winning team. All three participants of the triumphant team received the main prize: grants to study at KBTU in any specialty.
These chess players also dominated in the individual competition, taking places on the podium in the following order: 1 - Alua Nurmanova, 2 – Orash Shonazarov, 3 – Ilyas Sabitov. Ayaulym Kaldarova (secondary school No. 65 of Shymkent) took the lead among the girls.
The winners and prize-winners were awarded with diplomas and prizes, and small gifts went to all participants without exception.
The tournament is planned to be made traditional.
