On April 15, 2022, a solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to graduates of KBTU, who completed their studies in 3-3.5 years, was held at KBTU.

In 2018, as part of the academic and managerial independence of universities, KBTU became the first university in the country to announce cooperation with major schools of Kazakhstan: Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, the Republican School of Physics and Mathematics, Bilim-Innovation Lyceum and provided an opportunity for graduates of focus schools to shorten the trajectory of education and receive a bachelor's degree in 3 - 3.5 years.

Every year, more than 500 school students who graduated from the leading schools of the country go through this program at KBTU. In the winter of 2022, 142 of the focus schools successfully completed their education and received diplomas in April.

At the graduation ceremony, students who studied under the undergraduate program as part of the cooperation between KBTU and the Higher College "APEC PetroTechnic" in Atyrau also received diplomas. This program was launched in 2018, according to which graduates of one of the strongest technical colleges in the country, APEC PetroTechnic, were trained in an accelerated format and graduated from the university in 2.5 years. A great pride for the university are the graduates of the master's programs in the areas of "Oil and Gas Business", "Project Management", "Offshore Engineering and Shipping", and, of course, MBA programs, which were also awarded diplomas on this significant day.

The rector (Chairman of the Board) of KBTU Gabdullin Maratbek Tulebergenovich made an opening speech and congratulated the graduates, parents and participants of the ceremony on a significant date in the history of the university.

The "newly minted" graduates were also congratulated by the former rector of KBTU, the general director of the association "KAZENERGY" - Ibrashev Kenzhebek Niyazovich, who noted the special affiliation of this graduation.

Preserving the glorious traditions of the university, members of the KBTU Alumni Association participated in the award ceremony. Graduates of previous years handed out diplomas on stage, and graduates who work abroad sent their video congratulations to the young generation of their native alma mater.
