At the Forum of Integration of Science and Education, which was held today in the Gylym Ordasy building, agreements on cooperation between higher educational institutions and research institutes were signed.

 

The event was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov, Acting Rector (Chairman of the Board) of the Kazakh-British Technical University Maratbek Gabdullin, heads of higher educational institutions and research institutes and representatives of the scientific community.

 

"We need close, large-scale and multilateral integration of scientific and educational activities. World experience shows that the leading countries have managed to integrate science and education quite effectively. This practice is also relevant for Kazakhstan's education and science system. Now our universities together with research institutes will carry out joint training of scientific personnel. The implementation of this project will give impetus to the development of the higher education system, scientific activity and capacity building of research institutes," Askhat Aimagambetov said in his speech.

 

As a result of the joint activities of the Research Institute and universities, 500 new joint educational programs will be developed during this year, more than three hundred scientists and employees of the Research Institute are planned to be involved in lectures and classes. In addition, access to the laboratories of 68 research institutes for undergraduates and doctoral students will be provided.

 

Within the framework of the Forum, the solemn signing of agreements on scientific and educational cooperation between universities and research institutes took place. KBTU concluded agreements with the following research institutes:

 

Institute of Information and Computing Technologies;

Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling;

Institute of Nuclear Physics.
