January 18, 2022 acting Rector of KBTU Gabdullin Maratbek Tulebergenovich took part in the solemn ceremony of signing a memorandum of cooperation between Kazakhtelecom JSC and KBTU, aimed at cooperation based on common interests in the field of education and employment.

Maratbek Tulebergenovich emphasized the role of Kazakhtelecom JSC in the development of Kazakhstan as a full member of the international telecommunications community. Acting rector noted the importance of the planned joint work within the framework of the address of the head of state from 2022 to improve the quality of engineering education and support socially significant projects.

After a series of discussions, the parties agreed to cooperate in order to develop promising areas and implement professional programs aimed at meeting the needs for advanced education, ensuring the quality of education in the training of specialists in the field of information and telecommunications technologies, as well as participating in Executive MBA programs and other KBTU programs by mutual agreement.

Also at the meeting, joint cooperation on the PROTELECOM internship program for 3-4 year students of KBTU was discussed. Interns will be able to participate in real projects of Kazakhtelecom JSC, understand the specifics of the business and gain experience in working in a team of professionals. The best students of 3-4 courses will have the opportunity to become employees of the company or get into the personnel reserve in the future.

Kazakhtelecom JSC is the largest telecommunications company in Kazakhstan and has the status of a national communications operator. The company was founded in 1994 on the basis of the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan and to this day makes its contribution by modernizing and developing the information and communication infrastructure.
