On November 25, 2021, the final of the competition for start-up projects in the oil and gas industry - Atyrau Energy Challenge was held.

The Challenge was organized by the Center for Innovation and the international accelerator Atyrau HUB with the Petrocouncil Association with the support of the Akimat of Atyrau, NCE Atameken, Ayacom, TCO, Astana HUB and Apec Petrotechnic Higher College.

The first place was taken by the Oil Engineers team, representing the Kazakh-British Technical University, having solved the TCO case on the topic "Digitalization of vehicle fleet verification". The students won half a million tenge and received an Apple Watch from TCO.
