November 18, 2021, marks the 80th anniversary of Panfilov's Twenty-Eight Guardsmen’s act of bravery. In honor of this event, as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 20th anniversary of KBTU, a lecture hall was opened named after the legendary Soviet military leader, Hero of the Soviet Union, Major General Ivan Vasilyevich Panfilov.

Abylkhozhin Zhulduzbek - Professor of the Sector of History and Social Sciences.

The event was also attended by the teaching staff of the university and students.

At the beginning of the event, Taulanov Sabit and Baikadamova Alua cut the ribbon, marking the opening of the lecture hall and its readiness for the educational process. The hall is intended for conducting lectures for KBTU students.

Baikadamova Alua noted: “The memory of the fallen should always be an example for the upbringing of the younger generation, it is important that it never runs out. It is gratifying that KBTU remembers and honors the act of bravery of the Panfilov heroes and in honor of their memory, today the General Panfilov’s lecture hall is opening”.

Gabdullin M.T. in his speech emphasized the special role and expresses sincere gratitude for the work for the good of the Fatherland, maintaining peace and stability, strengthening the armed forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“The KBTU building is located on Old Square, at the junction of four streets. One of the streets bears the name of the legendary commander of the 316th rifle division, who took an active part in the defense of Moscow, Hero of the Soviet Union, General Panfilov"- according to the KBTU Acting Rector.

Speaking during the event, Fadeev D., the head of the Petrovsky district of the Saratov region, congratulated the participants on the significant day and shared his memories.

The renewed look of the room made a vivid impression on those present. According to the already established tradition, the first lecture was held in the new lecture hall, which allowed everyone present to appreciate the view, ease of use of the equipment, and in the near future full-fledged classes will begin here.
