November 19, 2021 the 8th meeting of the Advisory Council of the Kazakh-British Technical University was held, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 20th anniversary of KBTU. Its goal is to strengthen the influence of employers, both on the strategic development of the university, and on improving the quality of graduated specialists through the implementation of the council's recommendations in educational and research plans. The Advisory Board includes representatives of such organizations as Kazenergy Association, NPP Atameken, JSC NC KazMunayGas and its subsidiaries, NCOC, Chevron, Tengizchevroil, Agip Caspian Sea BV, KPO, Schlumberger, Honeywell, EY, Halyk Bank, MFC Astana, British Council and many others.

 

At the meeting, reports were presented on new educational programs, employment of graduates, scientific activities and joint projects with partners of the university.

 

 Members of the Advisory Board congratulated the university on the occasion of the anniversary, and also brought up their valuable proposals for discussion.

 

The date of the 9th meeting of the Advisory Board was approved: June 17, 2022.

 

After summing up the results of the meeting, letters of gratitude were awarded to KBTU partners, including Tengizchevroil, Halyk Bank, British Council, Janser Consult, KMG Engineering LLP, iTeacher Academy, RockFlowDynamics, Digitalization Department of Almaty.

After the meeting of the Advisory Council, the guests took part in the International conference “Transformation in educational technologies. Energy, IT and Business: Challenges and Opportunities”.
