On October 4, 2021, students of the Faculty of Energy and Oil and Gas Industry, the Ecolution team, participated in the final of the STUDENT ENERGY CHALLENGE. The guys scored 453.4 points and thus entered the top three winners. Participants won a paid four-month internship at partner companies of the Bureau of Continuing Professional Development of the Astana International Financial Center.

The Ecolution team has developed the BioSu project: an environmentally friendly and economical way to purify water using a multi-stage system. The development process took 3 months.

Team members: “Ecology is an urgent problem now, we decided that we need to contribute to the solution of this issue. We believe that our idea has a future in Kazakhstan. During the internship, we expect to gain a lot of experience and knowledge for our further research in our field, as well as meet people from the industry, learn new things from them".

The developers are planning to commercialize their project. The KBTU management supports this initiative, and now a process of negotiations has begun on the details of the application of this development.
