In Almaty, in honor of the Capital Day in the building of KBTU, a round table was held on the topic "Elimizdiń astanasy – uly dala júregi" with the participation of the deputy akim of the city Yerzhan Babakumarov, statesmen Amangeldy Shabdarbayev, Gani Kasymov, member of the APK Bronislav Shin and Akhmetzhan Shardinov, ex-deputies of RK Mazhilis of Parliament Zagipa Balieva and Nurlan Suleimenov, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ulykbek Yesdaulet, Chairman of the Almaty City Council of Veterans Akhan Bizhanov, Professor Georgy Kan, Hero of Labor, National Artist Roza Rymbayeva, Rector of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University Tlektes Yespolov, Chairman of the Public Council of Almaty Rakhman Alshanov and others.

The participants of the round table were persons who witnessed the formation of independent Kazakhstan and voted in favor of the decision to move the capital, as well as representatives of Almaty youth who were able to become participants in the dialogue about the history of the country, the capital of Nur-Sultan and the contribution of the Almaty public to its development in an online format.

During the event, also spoke acting rector of KBTU M. Gabdullin, rector of the "Turan" University, chairman of the Public Council of Almaty, R. Alshanov, ex-director of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Dzhaparov.

At the end of the round table, Deputy Mayor Yerzhan Babakumarov noted that in the book "The Era of Independence" the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev told how our state and the capital were created and urged young people to get acquainted with it.
