Do you love chess with all your heart? Do you have the inclinations to become a grandmaster? Then we are waiting for you at the KBTU OPEN 2021 international chess tournament! After all, we are ready to award a grant for education at KBTU for your talent.
The tournament will be held from 02 to 08 July 2021 in two sections - Open and Girls.
The winners in the ‘open’ and ‘girls’ sections will receive a grant to study at the Kazakh-British Technical University on any educational program for 4 years!
The competition is made mainly for those who graduate from 9-11 grades in 2021 and have a chess grade not lower than the first, as well as college students with the first chess grade and above. School students and applicants who do not fit into the specified framework can participate on special conditions.
The deadline for submission of applications is June 29, 2021, by 12 o'clock (before noon) of Almaty time.

The organizers of the tournament are the Basic Faculty of the Kazakh-British Technical University and the 'Chess Makers' student group, which organizes chess competitions at KBTU, with the support of the KBTU Rector's Office.
